As the only company to offer singles cruises on - All Inclusive - Crystal Cruise Line, rated the #1 cruise line for 18 years in a row by Conde Naste Traveler Magazine, we are proud to offer our fifth straight year of Crystal Cruises, for singles looking to see the world’s most exotic locales, with all drinks, all gratuities, all internet, all meals, all shows, all ocean view cabins (every cabin has an ocean view on Crystal) and of course, all fun included – all on a cruise with only 1000 passengers and only a 2 to 1 passenger to crew ratio, meaning you will be pampered at every step of your vacation and never wait in the buffet lines or other crowd jams common on Royal Caribbean or Carnival.

The elegance and service on Crystal is so high that you will realize on the first day of your cruise, why they are rated #1 every year.

In 2018 we are offering two Crystal 7 day European cruises – back to back, on the elegant Crystal Serenity, so you can enjoy one or both if you wish.  The first cruise starts in Rome Italy on Sept.23rd 2018 and visits, Florence, Elba and la Spezia Italy, plus Monte Carlo Monaco, St. Tropez France (on the French Riviera)  and ends in Marseilles France on Sept. 30th.

This cruise, September 30-October 7th, 2018, is the second of the two back to back Crystal cruises, each on the incredible, elegant Crystal Serenity.  This stunning cruise itinerary starts in the charming Southern France city of Marseille, France’s oldest city and then sails to Antibes, a quaint town on the French Riviera between famed Cannes and Nice.  Next it is on to Genoa Italy, birthplace of Christopher Columbus.  Genoa has the largest medieval city center in Europe and spectacular Renaissance palaces. We then sail to three islands, one each, off the coasts of France, Italy and Spain, for an amazing contrast in scintillating island scenery and activities – Sardegna Italy, Corsica France and Palma de Mallorca Spain, each with its own unique treasures to explore and experience.

Our cruise ends in Barcelona, Spain, with a two night post cruise hotel stay in this world class city where you can visit the remarkable Picasso and Dali art Museums, the incredible Sagrada Familia Cathedral, watch the most unique street mimes on Las Ramblas boulevard, plus take our optional half day excursion to witness and tour the mountain top monastery in Montserrat Spain, with amazing scenic views, just outside of Barcelona or a full day excursion to see the “Game of Thrones sites in Girona Spain.

Evenings in Barcelona bring optional outings to enjoy a Flamenco dance show, the traditional dance of Spain and of course, a visit to Spain is not complete without sampling traditional Tapas food.

As with all of our cruises, we will offer optional group shore excursions in each port so you can enjoy the best of each port, with the friendships you have made in the group – and as our groups are kept to a reasonable size, never more than 40 passengers, you will never feel lost in the crowd.

The queen of the Côte d'Azur, Marseille is France's oldest city and one of the Mediterranean's premier ports. Amid the big-city bustle, the old port is a quaint landscape of historic charm: colorful fishing boats sail past the imposing Fort Saint-Jean, narrow streets wander among ancient churches and cobbled squares, while the venerable Basilica overlooks the scene from the hilltop above.

Passengers should book their own air to arrive into Marseilles France today, or ask for a quote for air provided by Crystal.  Transfers from the airport to the ship are available for sale by Crystal or if booking air offered by Crystal, their transfer from the airport to the ship is included.

Located between Nice and Cannes on France’s Côte d’Azur, (The French Riviera), Antibes is a picture-postcard Mediterranean town, featuring a maze of cobblestone lanes, remains of 16th-century ramparts, a lively produce market and more than a few romantic and legendary names associated with its timeless history. Among the notable people who have either lived in or visited Antibes are artists Monet and Picasso and writers Graham Greene and F. Scott Fitzgerald. As a result of your own visit, you might be compelled to jot down a few lines waxing poetic about the town’s appeal. Chances to admire the sleek yachts bobbing in the harbor, see the magnificent villas on the nearby Cap d’Antibes peninsula or explore the Picasso Museum surely will offer plenty of excitement.

Christopher Columbus hailed from Genoa "the Proud," which enjoys one of the longest and most illustrious maritime histories in all of Italy. Even today it is the country's foremost port, whose five separate bays are alive with shipping. The marvels continue ashore: Genoa has the largest medieval city center in Europe, and Renaissance palaces that once enthralled Rubens and Van Dyck.

Porto Venere, Italy, has all the essentials of an idyllic medieval town. It boasts two ancient churches, a 16th-century fortified castle, a bell tower built on the ruins of a Roman temple, even a wistful tale of English writers Lord Byron and Mary Shelley.

Lord Byron, the story goes, had a favorite spot on the rocks at the base of the church of San Pietro where he would pause to find his muse; it was also the place from which he would launch his swim across the bay to San Terenzo, where Shelley would be waiting.

While the legend is certainly romantic, Porto Venere's breathtaking natural beauty is enough to put it at the top of any traveler's list. Poised on the tip of the small peninsula that extends from the celebrated Italian Riviera, Porto Venere is the southernmost town on the walking trails connecting the five villages that make up the famous Cinque Terre, or five lands. Though not officially a part of the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere should be, and perhaps it would be if it weren't for its slightly removed location. With its sweeping views, brightly-colored houses, terraced gardens and three small islands -- Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto -- sitting prettily just off its rocky promontory, Porto Venere is so lovely, one wonders why Shelley did not instead make the swim to Byron.   Porto Venere is in its own right, a spectacular place to spend a leisurely day exploring or a great base from which to take a visit to one of the villages of the Cinque Terre.

Positioned on the northeastern shores of the island of Sardinia, Olbia sits on a large bay, with a historic port dating to pre-Roman times and a newer ferry port connected to the city by causeway. Such is the dichotomy of past and present both on the island and in the Mediterranean at large. Visitors arrive by the latest means of travel, including luxury ships such as yours, and source sights to see with app-loaded smartphones that help lead to way to discoveries of antiquity.

Sardinia’s ruins are particularly interesting, remnants of the daily lives and rituals of the Nurarghic people of the Bronze Age. Beyond town, sandy beaches, holm oak forests and secluded coves invite exploration. Bronze Age. Founded in 1492 by the Genoese, the small town of Ajaccio was once completely fortified. Today, however, only the dominant citadel in the old section of town still exists.

The Emperor Napoleon was born in Ajaccio in 1769 and reminders of this famous European leader are found everywhere. By the 18th century, Ajaccio had become one of the most resplendent villages in the Mediterranean. It is now the main town of southern Corsica with a population of approximately 60,000 inhabitants.

Nestled between the sea and the mountains, Golfe de Porto is located in the heart of the maritime side of the Corsican Regional Natural Park and is considered a World Heritage site.

A magnificent rose-colored Gothic cathedral dominates the palm-fringed waterfront of its urban center. Mallorca, known as the "Island of Tranquility," is the largest and most developed of the Balearic group. Steep mountains, serene valleys and wide plains form its varied landscape. Don't miss seeing the island's quaint villages where George Sand and Frederic Chopin spent a winter.

Barcelona, capital of Catalonia, is a celebration of history and heir to Greek, Phoenician, Roman, Carthaginian, Gothic and Arab cultural legacies. Since it is nearly as close to Rome, Geneva and Munich as it is to Madrid, Barcelona has long been the Spanish link to Western Europe. It was the home of Picasso, Miró, Dali, Casals and Gaudí.

Enjoy two full days to experience Barcelona’s charms, from the street mimes on Las Ramblas, to the timeless treasure of La Sagrada Familia, to the beautiful walking paths in Guell park, the eclectic art of the Salvador Dali Museum or the Pablo Picasso museum.

In addition to its abundance of artistic and architectural treasures, Barcelona serves as the gateway to one of the world's most impressive mountainside enclaves at Montserrat. Discover the secret legends of the Black Virgin and the alluring chants of monastic life high atop the Catalonian plains. Barcelona's ancient city walls and the narrow crooked streets of the town's old section are laid out for your discovery. You will find that Barcelona has something for everybody.

We will offer an optional four hour tour of Montserrat on Monday to experience the mountaintop monastery that is one of the most important religious sites as well as one of the most scenic view points in Spain.

Upon disembarking our ship on Sunday, we will be transported to our centrally located four star hotel in the heart of Barcelona, close to the major tourist attractions.   After checking in, the remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Barcelona at your leisure.  Stroll the tree lined boulevard of Las Ramblas, famous for its many street mimes who playfully perform for tourists.  Visit the always amazing La Sagrada Familia Cathedral.  Spend time in the art museums of two of the greatest painters of all time, Pablo Picasso and the surrealist Salvador Dali.   If you wish, take a longer walk through the Guell Park, inspired by the same man who built La Sagrada Famliia.

Stop at a traditional Spanish restaurant for traditional Spanish “tapas.”

This evening, if you wish, join us for an optional Flamenco dance show, the traditional dance of Spain.

Monday Oct. 8th,  – Today, join us if you wish, for an optional excursion to visit the mountain top monastery at Montserrat.

The morning and early afternoon are at leisure to explore Barcelona at your own pace.  Then at 2pm meet at our hotel and we will transport together to the central meeting spot of our four hour guided tour of Montserrat, led by a professional local bilingual guide, or if you prefer, meet at the tour departure point in the center of town at 2:45pm for the 3pm departure of our tour which will last four and one half hours.

Explore one of Spain's most important religious sites at Montserrat, a monastery situated high above the city of Barcelona in greater Catalonia. The spot offers sublime views, a variety of religious artifacts, and insight into the history and spiritual traditions of this region of Spain.Begin your excursion by boarding an air-conditioned coach in central Barcelona (Calle Balmes, 5) at 3pm, continuing on a ride through the scenic landscapes of Catalonia on your way to Montserrat. Your guide will provide details about the region's history as you go, offering details about the mountain of Montserrat and the monastery that lies near its peak.

Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, climb aboard a cogwheel train for the 15-minute climb to the peak, enjoying panoramic views along the way. Listen as your guide explains how hundreds of years of erosion have sculpted the striking pink rocks visitors see today. Make sure to also keep your camera handy for great shots of the mountain's unique rock formations with Barcelona and Catalonia in the distance .Arrive at Santa Maria de Montserrat, the Benedictine abbey that occupies the mountaintop. Learn about the critical role the monastery plays in the cultural and spiritual traditions of Catalonia via an audiovisual presentation. Then check out the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, situated adjacent to the monastery.
